DRAGONFLYDRY™ Survival Suit Sizing
The DRAGONFLYDRY SURVIVAL SUIT® is designed to put over the top of your clothes in the case of the onset of Extreme Weather. PLEASE NOTICE THE SIZING when ordering. IF the Extreme Weather (Torrential Rain, etc…) is in a HOT Climate the Survival Suite will not need to be sized to fit over Jackets or heavy clothing. If you are planning on going into extreme weather it is wise to dress and size according to the LAYERS anticipated.
1-SLEEVE LENGTH-PANT LENGTH: All Suits are designed with 2” in/5cm added to the sleeve length and pant length to wear over hands and feet to create a cocoon if necessary. This also adjusts for extra length on arms and body.
2-CHEST SIZE is taken at the fullest point of the chest, keeping tape under arms and around shoulder blades. This measurement should be taken over clothing, preferably over same garment or types of garments to be worn with the suit. Example; if in a cold climate, this suit may be utilized with blizzard or ice storm where it may be worn over a jacket or sweatshirt (the “insulating layers” discussed on this web site). Measurements should be taken wearing the typical jacket, sweatshirt, ballistic vest, uniform, etc… If in a rainy, hurricane, water rich environment, your typical clothes you might be caught in would be appropriate.
3- LENGTH: (**)We suggest using your same inseam measurement for pants, but subtracting 1 to 2 inches to accommodate DragonFlyDry™ lower crotch construction on the DragonFlyDry Survival Suit®.
4- The DragonFlyDry Survival Suit® is designed to be oversized. It has a waist strap that cinches from the sides and back in order to take the slack out of the front of the suit. This is perfect when ordering for a younger population as the Suit will grow with them, to a certain extent.
